What We’re Looking For

The Warehouse Manager’s primary role is ensuring the warehouse department is functioning to its full potential. In addition to managing warehouse employees, they will create safe and efficient processes that employees can implement. The Warehouse Manager will ensure the warehouse is adequately stocked with new and incoming supplements & products while overseeing the fulfillment of product orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Warehouse Management

  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
  • Forecasting appropriate supplement inventory
  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
  • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
  • Advise on resolutions for mistakes or errors with products or fulfillment orders; create processes to eliminate this
  • Review and analyze logistics utilized to transport products to customers, to ensure efficient & quality delivery of packages
  • Create and implement quality control processes and safety guidelines
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining appropriate product handling and storage
  • Manage warehouse in compliance and alignment with company’s policies, mission, and vision
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements

 

Problem Solving

  • Problem resolution regarding issues that arise in the warehouse. Keep the reporting manager informed on significant issues
  • Use Dignify system to navigate department and interdepartmental relationships
  • Suggest solutions or efficient processes to corporate operations for warehouse

 

Implementation

  • Oversee the process of implementing new products and POS system implementation
  • Assist in any transition of The Wellness Way software when available

 

Training and Development

  • Learn the basics of the Dignify System regarding navigation and understanding.
  • Complete additional training and continuing education as asked.
  • Attend seminars and meetings assigned.
  • Attend all trainings that are requested by reporting manager

Position Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • Operate power lifts, carts, and other material handling equipment in performing warehouse duties
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as word, excel, and outlook
  • Prior experience with asset management and maintenance tracking database software a plus


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a warehouse lead role managing employees
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of company staff
  • Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
  • The ability to take initiative to make things happen
